A 2014 notebook that has earned a new lease on life. Now capable of heavy multitasking and Excel work, this sizeable machine is great as an office device or a daily driver. A fast SSD and battery replacement brings it up to speed in 2026, making it ideal for teachers or students who need a reliable machine that can handle hopping from one task to another.
Technician Upgrades
The 41Wh battery has been replaced with a brand new one, restoring its potential 5-6 hours of battery life. I would expect closer to 4 if under heavier load.
Trading capacity for speed, the slow 1TB hard drive has been replaced with a 512GB SSD, reducing boot times from minutes to seconds.
Though the 8GB of RAM it had was capable, it has been doubled to 16GB, making multitasking feel snappy.

Condition Report
Physical Condition: 7/10. It has some "character" (surface scratches on the lid and scuffs on the bottom cover). That aside, the screen works perfectly and the internals have been cleaned thoroughly. I did notice the track pad buttons are a bit "clicky," but that appears to be how it was built.
Region Details: This device seems to have an EU keyboard and power adapter. The keyboard works perfectly, and the power adapter comes with the necessary adapter to use Canadian outlets.
Software Note: I refurbished this laptop with Windows 10 in mind, as I have reservations against Large Language Model AI (and how Microsoft has approached rolling out their related features). If you would prefer Windows 11, this laptop will run it perfectly fine. Reach out before you purchase, and I will have Windows upgraded at no cost.
Included: HP 15 Notebook Laptop, and original HP AC Power Adapter (EU Version, Adapter included).
